Why the name Zemplén 723?
A world record bridge calls for a unique double naming method. Zemplén 723 is an easily understandable phrase for local and international visitors as well. The naming solution was similar in case of many other world-famous suspension bridges, as it specifies the location and the exact length of the bridge.

Unique width
The walkway of the bridge planned for the Zemplén Adventure Park is 1.2 metres wide. This width, bigger than the average, makes the bridge accessible from both directions: from the Szár-hill and the Castle Hill as well. This is a huge achievement, as most suspension bridges can only be accessed from one single direction.

Zemplén 723 in numbers:
- Wingspan of the suspension bridge: 723 metres.
- Total weight of the steel structure: 496.55 tons.
- Number of used bolts: 12000 pieces.
- Total length of cables: 24162.4 metres.
- Cable sag: 27 metres.
- Elevation of the steepest bridge section: 15%.

How to access the bridge

- Zemplén Adventure Park parking lot: If the castle hill parking lot is at full capacity, you may use the parking lot at the lower station of the Zemplén Adventure Park (Sátoraljaújhely, Torzsás utca 25). From there, take the Magas-hill chairlift to the middle station, then the Szár-hill chairlift to the Szár-hill, from where you can access the bridge with a 10-minute walk.
- Castle hill parking lot: Those who arrive with car can park their vehicle in the castle hill parking lot, which offers 100 parking slots. From the parking lot, follow the short, 300 meter long slope to the bridge.
- Train station: From the train station on foot, follow the K◾ route through the town centre, then the K▲ route to the bridge. This route is approximately 2,7 km long, with an elevation gain of 190 m.
- Hősök tere (Heroes square) bus station: The closest bus station is at Hősök tere, from where you can access the bridge through a similar route like from the train station.
- Chairlift, zipline and cableway: Take the Magas-hill and the Szár-hill chairlift and the cableway (Dongó) of the Zemplén Adventure Park, then after a short walk, you can access the bridge entrance.
You can buy tickets at multiple locations, including the castle hill parking lot and the ticket kiosks at both bridge ends. You can only pay with credit card.

Yes, Zemplén 723 has an inclusive infrastructure. To ensure a unique and quality visit, the necessary conditions should be contacted in advance (contact here: info@zemplenkalandpark.hu).
Children under the age of 14 can use the bridge only under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
Yes, elderly persons are welcome to walk the bridge, as long as their physical condition allows it.
The bridge is made of modern, durable materials, but its design recalls traditional rope bridges, like the rope bridges of the Inca.
The walkway is aligned with the cables, avoiding the installation of overhanging tall structures which are foreign to the landscape, such as pylons. Cable arches were arranged to fit into the landscape and to ensure an easy walking experience. During the design phase, the decision was to choose structural solutions which do not disturb the view.
The bridge is extremely sensitive to movement and vibration, so safe use can only be guaranteed with the planned securing wind cable system.
